Ingredients

ALMONDS

High-protein almonds are ideal for sating the appetite in a healthy way. They are rich in monounsaturated fats; much research now links this type of fat with a reduced risk of heart disease. These nuts are one of the richest sources of vitamin E, which seems to protect against UV light damage and Alzheimer’s disease. By munching away on almonds you can top up on important minerals: manganese, which helps the body form strong bones and regulates blood sugar; and magnesium, which is essential for organ, muscle and nerve function, blood glucose control, and regulating blood pressure. Eat almonds with the skin on: it contains an impressive collection of flavonoids that act as antioxidants and enhance the effect of vitamin E that is beneficial as we age, and we all do!

ACAI

Helps to combat free radicals that cause cellular damage, degenerative diseases and premature ageing. Clears the body internally, aiding in the absorption of nutrients, and allowing waste to move efficiently. Protects against harmful toxins.  Contains Essential Fatty Acids (Omega 3 & 6) & Vitamins and minerals, including Vitamin E & has a high fiber content.

CHIA SEEDS

Chia Seeds are the highest plant source of omega 3 and extremely rich in minerals, protein and fiber. As they absorb about 9 times their weight in water, once digested it creates a sensation of “fullness”.

COCONUT OIL

Coconut Oil helps cholesterol level maintenance, weight loss, boosts immune system, aids proper digestion and regulates metabolism, while also helping to improve dental quality and bone strength. It is also an antioxidant and has anti-fungal & antibacterial qualities.

DATES

Dates are  easily digested, allowing your body to make full use of their goodness. Dietary fiber in dates helps to move waste smoothly through your colon and helps prevent LDL (bad) cholesterol absorption by binding with substances containing cancer-causing chemicals. The iron content, a component of haemoglobin in red blood cells, determines the balance of oxygen in the blood. Potassium, an electrolyte, helps control your heart rate and blood pressure. They contain vitamins A, B and K. Vitamin A protects the eyes, maintains healthy skin and mucus membranes, and even protects the lungs and mouth from developing cancer. Tannins, which are flavonoids as well as polyphonic antioxidants, fight infection and inflammation and help prevent excessive bleeding (anti-hemorrhagic).
